I'm guessing putting the carver, bang for the buck, approach along with the magnetic field switching ps into a small cube may well account for the less than glowing views of the cube. Meanwhile the vintage shoebox amps from adcom and soundcraftsmen seem to have a much more positive recognition. I own a rebuilt sc pm860 amp. Sounds great imo.

The original M400 sounded quite poor. The M400t sounded surprisingly good, and was certainly an excellent value in relation to its price and its power capability (200W/channel).
